Mid/Senior Java Software Developer

Qualifications:

Knowledge and skills:

3+ years working experience in software development with Java technologies
Knowledge of Java SE
Experience with Java IDE frameworks, application servers
Knowledge of unit testing, continuous integration, build and deployment tools
Preferable, good understanding of algorithms in the area of probability and statistics
Previous experience in data integration or data fusion is a plus

Project description:
The project consists of a software back-end component, as part of a border security surveillance software application, which provides data interpretation and data fusion functionalities based on real time sensor readings.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and understand existing Java components and their integration with other components from the system.
Maintain existing code by providing functional expertise and bug fixes, when required.
Develop new functionalities, as required by business needs, by extending existing components.
Generate verification procedures which ensure software components are ready for integration.
Select feasible, efficient and reusable elements in line with system requirements as well as constraints and design/ develop/document Software components.
Based on business needs, travel within and outside the country may be required.
