Experience and Skills
Strong Linux (Gentoo and Chrome OS preferred) skills
Experience with Linux scripting (Python preferred, Ruby and Perl ok)
Proven proficiency in C and C++
Experience with Linux build tools (Jenkins or BuildBot preferred)
Proven proficiency with source control and code review tools (Git/Gerrit preferred)
Skilled in git patch manipulation and rebasing
Experience submitting patches, reviewing patches, submitting bug reports, and writing convincing arguments to get your patches or bugs accepted
Ability to review logs, and take appropriate corrective action, providing root cause analysis
Ability to assist in writing or maintaining documentation
Working knowledge of Wiki pages
Rapid ramping and learning of new technologies or components
Good verbal and written communication skills

Great Additional Skills
ChromeOS/ChromiumOS development/QA experience
Knowledge of the GNU compiler toolchain including the use of cross compilers
Experience building Android apps including those using the NDK and JNI
Chrome browser development/QA experience
Experience contributing to the Linux kernel
Experience writing OpenGL applications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline

The Intel Open Source Technology Center (OTC) Chrome OS Validation team is looking for skilled software validation engineers to join a growing and high energy team and contribute in an Open Source environment. As a Linux Validation Engineer, you will be performing validation duties that may span the entire Linux and Chrome OS stack, including the Linux kernel and drivers, Freon, Mesa, OpenGL, media codecs, and the Chrome browser itself. You will research requirements, write and execute test cases, write automation scripts, create and report on quality metrics, and collaborate closely with Open Source driver maintainers.
