Android System Engineer

B.S or M.S in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or equivalent; BS + 4 yrs. of experience, or MS + 2 years of experience in a combination of the following:

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years of experience in each of the following:
Linux/Android user-space system level development
Excellent Linux debugging skills, experience with gdb, kdb, adb, etc.
Excellent hands-on knowledge of Linux kernel internals with experience in device drivers and Linux platform enablement
Knowledge of Open Source Licenses
3 years of experience in each of the following:
Configuration management, release management, experience with tools like git, quilt, repo, cvs, svn etc.
Experience in modern C/C++ development
Expertise scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl, TCL, etc.)

Preferred Skills:
Working with open source software community, including success with getting code accepted in upstream open source projects
Knowledge about Android internals (binder, ashmem, wake locks, etc.) and/or experience with the Android AOSP or an Android BSP
Knowledge about Android components debugging skills, using DDMS, HAL/userspace error messaging etc.
Experience working in an Agile development team
Networking protocols (TCP/IP), Wi-FI, Bluetooth, sensors, security, energy and battery
Experience with a variety of low and high speed interfaces (USB, SPI, I2C, I2S, S/PDIF, HDMI)

- working on integrating and enabling various components like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, sensors, security, energy and battery
- fixing bugs and performing optimizations
- integrating, maintaining, debugging and optimizing Android components for Android operating system running on Intel architecture
