    This role is based in the Michelin Shared Services Center in Bucharest, Michelin Corporate & Business Services, where more than 700 colleagues deliver excellence in Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Sales Administration and Personnel.

    What we’re looking for:

    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Tax- VAT;
    • Global VAT Tax compliance Experience (Controls, preparation, filling, and Improvement), ideally gained within a similar profile role for an International business;
    • Excellent knowledge of Excel and experience working with Tax reporting software and other office tools.
    The European VAT Controller will:
    • Fill VAT returns and Intrastat return for certain EU Countries;
    • Assist the Tax manager and other teams on VAT matters. Also ensure the correct treatment of the new flows;
    • Review end-to-end process and lead their changes, identify opportunities of improvement and automation of the process. Also ensure that the process is lean and with minimum manual intervention;
    • Ensure that the transactions are online with current legislation and deploy the actions to mitigate the risks identified;
    • Work on deployed tax technology solutions, data analytics and Oracle ERP;
    • Participate to VAT inspections and audits, including gathering information, responding to information requests;
    • Ask for VAT payments and reconciliation the GL VAT accounts.
