    Requirements

    With these skills you are a great candidate:
    • Degree in telecommunications or similar, with 5+ years of experience.
    • Very strong end to end data service performance engineering experience
    • Good knowledge of the evolution of the Core Network into the virtualised, cloud/containers and network as a platform world
    • Solid knowledge of NW design / architecture and CORE NW experience
    • Very good knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques
    • Ideally operational experience
    • Results orientated and strong performance & customer orientation
    • Ability to work across multi-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver results/change
    • Good stakeholders management and established networking or closeness with other engineering domains, also deeply impacting performance such as transmission, radio, etc.

    Responsibilities

    With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:
    • Use centralised datalake and tools to bring reading and understanding the customer experience to new levels, using data analytics tools and techniques.
    • Extract relevant customer experience information from all relevant systems and teams, also technical info from the network functions. Convert it into knowledge to be used to support the team's activities.
    • Compare service and commercial performance standards to actual performance. Identify deviations from standards and next steps for those. This includes the sharing with commercial teams of any relevant CCX findings.
    • Discover and document best practices that optimise and maximise CSX/CCX. This includes both the selection of key Core performance features per network function and vendor -also best software levels- and the optimal parametrisation. Should include E2E architectural topics too. Share Core performance maximisation best practices with relevant stakeholders and drive its implementation.
    • Be the point of contact for investigation of deviations from the CSX/CCX performance standards and lead the resolution of Core-related actions. Inputs to this includes the monthly performance forums, ad-hoc requests and ultimately self-generated knowledge.
    • Define the performance standards for both customers and Core network functions (considering both CSX and local CCX)
    Advocate and develop those performance standards through being involved in both the solution definition and the acceptance stages, as well as the vendor selection and PoC stages if applicable
    Provide troubleshooting support to the delivery teams in case of deviation from standards at delivery acceptance stage. Then update standards with lessons learned.
    • Identify network needs based on knowledge from all the team’s and key stakeholders performance activities. Feed them back to the Development teams in a useful manner. Advocate and drive the inclusion of those needs in plans and budgets.
