- You have 4+ years of experience in Middleware platform administration, Linux Engineering, Logging platforms and automation and 4+ years of demonstrated proficiency and experience in ELK Stack.
- Proficient with Elastic Stack components, especially Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana required.
- Proficient with configuration of Beats including FileBeats, MetricBeats, and others.
Understands how custom beats files are created using Google Go language.
- Strong soft skills required for effective communication with business decision makers, colleagues, and others.
- Strong knowledge of Linux Operating systems; Demonstrated expertise in automation, deployment, tuning, capacity, and performance monitoring of infrastructure cloud platforms and services.

Desirable requirements:

- Strong scripting/programming skills (Java, python, ruby, bash, powershell, etc.), coding against APIs (REST) and manipulating structured data (JSON, XML, etc.), build and CI/CD tools (Gitlab, Concourse, etc.).
- Cloud configuration automation (Ansible, Terraform, , etc.).

- You are responsible for building and operations of ELK clusters in Private Cloud infrastructure. You will work in Cloud Platforms Infrastructure team, enhance our next-gen private cloud platforms as a Service (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, newly branded as VMWare Tanzu), on VMWare vSphere.
- You have experience, working with platform engineers, in designing, building, and maintaining ELK clusters which serves for huge private cloud application log aggregation with 10 billion logs per day and helping the application developers to explore the app logs and manage Cloud Native solutions.

You will:

- ELK stack installation using Ansible or Concourse.
- Designs and configures Elasticsearch instance(s) for Cloud/PaaS/CaaS Platforms.
- Monitoring and Alerting using Beats. Configures and tunes Logstash, FileBeats, MetricsBeats and possibly other ELK Stack components to collect and the store the data necessary to meet Sponsor requirements efficiently.
- Performance Tuning on Elastic Search to handle billion of logs a day.
