MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• managing the Environment, Health and Safety requirements related to the Cold End:
- safe work systems;
- risk assessments;
- investigation and reporting of incidents and accidents;
- environmental compliance.
• effectively leading and managing the Cold End team:
- performance management;
- effective communications;
- recruitment and selection;
- training and development.
• responsible for the operational performance of the Cold End of the Float line using WCM techniques:
- achievement of required yield at the right quality;
- management of cold end and product changes;
- quick responses to problems;
- monitoring of trends;
- leading loss analysis;
- periodical review of action plans;
- driving of the improvement processes on long term;
- analysis of the special events;
- DCS alarms project management on the Cold end area;
- involving in and proposals for the budget building up;
- self-audit of Cold End (Float and Annealing lehr) preparation and follow-up of the Red Cards action plan;
- definition of the reference parameters for the Cold end area;
- management of waste coming from Float, Lehr and cutting area;
- production schedule optimization responsibility;
- data accuracy of Production declaration responsibility;
- informing the Quality and WH Departments about quality issues and incomplete packs and decision on the most effective solutions.
• managing costs effectively including Hydrogen, Nitrogen and SO2 consumption and electricity usage for float and lehr.
