- 6+ years in Information Security with B.S. Degree in IT or equivalent and a strong IT background.
- Advanced knowledge of application and network security concepts including technologies and frameworks.
- Experience with system Threat Modelling (preferably to STRIDE methodology) and experience with Cloud Security Architectures (AWS, VMWare Air, VirtuStream, OpenStack, Azure, RackSpace or others) including deployment of security designs and Cloud Native Application Security
- Ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative and actionable manner.
- Broad understanding of secure coding practices and standard code defect issues such as un-validated input, SQL injection, X-Site Scripting, hard coded credentials, etc. and their implications to system security state. App security

Desirable Requirements:
- CISSP or similar certification preferred
- Expertise in most of the following –Web API (MS ASP.Net), C#, .Net Framework, Web Services, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, SOAP, REST, JQuery

What you’ll achieve
The Cybersecurity Senior Advisor you will be considered a security and technical expert in Software Defined Networking, Cloud technology, architecture, designs, systems implementation and integration and will assist in the development and communication of authoritative security infrastructure focused policies, standards, guidelines and control requirements.

You will:
- Consults with internal teams and provides guidance and/or solutions on: Secure Development Practices and Application/Infrastructure Network Security, infrastructure Design Requirements, risk associated with initiatives and policy deviation requests, compliance implications of design decisions in application and infrastructure designs
- Ensures customer satisfaction through professional consulting engagement and use of a risk-based approach and manages policy exception requests through standard review and dispensation processes.
- Investigates complex, and sometimes historic practices/solutions to determine gaps and needed improvements and facilitates migration to a preferred state
- Collaborates with Business and Senior Management as required and facilitates resolution to business problems/objectives in a secure way.
- Develops and maintain comprehensive documentation of engagements performed and risks and/or issues identified.
