Cloud Automation Engineer

Requirements / technical skills:

 Expert level in IP technology and connectivity practices in private and public cloud (AWS)
 General experience with connectivity provider practices and delivering infrastructure as code (Terraform, Git, Ansible)

 Good technical background and a flexible nature which will adapt to additional products entering the business portfolio later along the line.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Be able to work on own initiative and manage work load. Customer driven mindset, critical judgement and problem solver focused
 Valued: Good level of insight into the following company installations: Company International Backbone (IPBB and MSP), some local market networks, company Group data centres including SPEs, VCHS data centre structures, hybrid cloud and infrastructure as code

Must have technical / professional qualifications or its equivalent:

 AWS Solution Architect
 DevOps tools knowledge (Ansible, Terraform)
 Firewall, NAT, Proxy, LB expertise
 Cisco CCNA, CCNP
 Routing and Switching knowledge

Role purpose:

 Design, plan and orchestrate end-to-end connectivity design solutions including WAN VPN, DC connections, private partner DCs and public cloud (AWS mainly, punctual GCP, Azure) for VBPS UCC Practice services
 Assist with the design, implementation, and administration of Cloud Infrastructure.
 Code and test scripting and/or programming related to the automation and support of Cloud Infrastructure.
 Ensure compliance to connectivity security policies of Group Technology Security and of customer organizations
 Support software development initiatives from a connectivity and infrastructure automation perspective
 Contribute to the evolution of the VBPS UCC Engineering and system architecture strategy
 Support overall connectivity strategy across different VF and external hosting sites aligned with Group technology strategy, with VBPS connectivity portfolio and with Group DC connectivity policies.

Responsibilities:

 Accountable for all end-to-end solution connectivity designs, including connectivity building blocks and public cloud architecture
 Review of Low-Level design and implementation for all customer solutions
 Implementation of infrastructure as code connectivity building blocks for Product Development on time and within budget
 Support strategy for connectivity services or IaaC as part of system architecture & integration
 Definition of service KPIs and reporting models
