Engineering to Order (ETO) Engineer
Job Function: Engineering
The Engineering to Order (ETO) Engineer position is responsible for working with multiple departments throughout the organization and external suppliers to create non-standard product offerings that address specific customer needs which are not currently available in the standard Roxar product offering.
Review and provide input for approval/rejection of non-standard product requests (in conjunction with Sales, Product Managers, Marketing, Operations, etc.);
Design non-standard product solutions and prepare product specifications/ sourcing/ costs/ pricing/ production instructions;
Coordinate and/or implement the creation of engineering drawings, procedures and documentation related to non-standard product offerings;
Select non-standard product offerings that meet specific customer requirements, providing price and delivery information;
Assist all other departments and colleagues with all issues related to non-standard product offerings as required;
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
University degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or instrumentation engineering);
+3 years relevant experience in product design, materials, or any technical environment with working experience in manufacturing operations being a plus;
Knowledge of at least one CAD software package, Solid edge preferred;
Assertive communication skills and interpersonal skills to interfaces with people at all levels;
Results oriented and able to work independently;
Good decision making and problem-solving skills;
Languages: English–advanced level, second European language will be a plus;
PC skills: advanced MS Office (Excel), Internet, CAD software.
