    A snapshot of your day

    You will work in a team responsible to ensure customs classification and origin management, on behalf of other Siemens Energy legal entities from different countries. Within this responsibility you will gather data/documentation to determine the correct customs classification (tariff), and the preferential as well as the non-preferential country of origin.

    In this task you will follow the internal rules and regulations as established by your organization and the relevant legal entity you work for.
    How You will Make an Impact
    • Identifying the required information for customs classification and gathering this information from systems and/or colleagues of the relevant departments such as engineering, R&D and other technical areas
    • Analyzing and classifying goods according to customs regulations and taking into consideration technical attributes required for the classification process
    • Analyzing trade documents from suppliers, associations and other relevant market players to properly identify and document the county of origin of products
    • Calculating and determining the country of origin (preferential and non-preferential)
    • Monitoring and controlling those processes
    • Challenging tasks among the assignments including consulting with our management
    • While performing your tasks, you always have an open mind to identify and report room for improvement and process flaws
    • You actively participate in team growth efforts

    What You Bring
    • We would like to get to know you if you have a professional education or a university degree preferably in a technical, economical, international relations, international commerce, administrative sciences or comparable field
    • Your graduation from university and preferably at least 1 year experience in the field of customs classification convinces us to have found the right candidate
    • First international experience (work in international teams, work abroad) is a plus
    • Sociable, curious and open to learn
    • Negotiation, presentation, and assertiveness are attributes that describe you the best
    • Not afraid to ask questions to understand tasks and projects
    • Previous experience/involvement in student activities, NGO's
    • Excellent command of English is required to work in a multi-cultural environment. German language skills would be a plus
