    A Snapshot of Your Day

    As Expediting Manager you are responsible for developing, improving, and implementing a supplier expediting process and tools to support a global operation and standard Way of Working within SE.

    Supported by X-functional team and 3rd party providers the Expediting Manager is responsible for managing the expediting process, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring manufacturing and delivery schedules.


    How You'll Make an Impact
    • Manage x-functional support and provide resource support to SE Business Areas for expediting activities.
    • You are supported by X-functional team and 3rd party providers, are responsible for managing the expediting process, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring manufacturing and delivery schedules and support resolving issues that may arise during the procurement and delivery process for selected, high critical cases on global/corporate level.
    • Direct, coordinate and maintain the effectiveness of the expediting function and service to ensure timely delivery of materials to products and projects, and to manage all activities in support of these operations.
    • You will be working and close networking with multi-cultural environment with different functions, such as Purchasing, Project Management and Quality locally and globally.
    • Ensure appropriate reporting on the status of material deliveries, inventory levels and any issues or delays encountered to management and stakeholders.
    • Work with various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.

    What You Bring
    • Bachelor or master's degree in mechanical, industrial engineering, or a similar discipline. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
    • Experience in inventory management, manufacturing operations or plant engineering.
    • 5+ years' experience working in Supply Chain Management and/or in technical field
    • Project Management experience preferred.
    • Familiar with ERP Systems which are commonly used in supply chain management (e.g. SAP)
    • Familiarity with quality & risk management methodologies
    • Negotiation skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Advanced Communication/Presentation skills, Contract and Commercial Knowledge.
    • Problem solving skills and flexibility
    • Open minded, results & solution oriented and good analytical thinking.
    • Organizational skills and efficiently handling multiple tasks to manage several projects and deadlines at the same time is a prerequisite.
    • Willingness to travel
