Demand and Supply Network Planning Specialist (temporary 6 months)

What this position is about – purpose:  
You will be responsible for analyzing the sales performance, developing, and timely updating accurate volume projections considering the markets’ landscape and JTI capabilities. You will work together with Marketing & Sales colleagues to identify opportunities for new launches, distribution/ performance updates, KPI setting, and performance tracking by integrating information from both internal and external sources regarding JTI performance. Also, you will have responsibilities related to Supply Network Planning activities for finished goods, targeting efficient inventory planning at the product level, establishing strong communication with the Global Supply Chain organization. You will act as a liaison between the local organization, Customer Service, and Factories to secure continuous and appropriate product pipeline filling, targeting an optimal level of stocks for both finish goods and non-tobacco materials.

What will you do?

• Develop and update monthly volume forecasts based on the market dynamics analysis, performing Sales and Distribution scenarios for new launches, developing production planning, and backup plans
• Prepare market reviews and metrics to identify gaps, analyze JTI’s volume performance and market trends to highlight opportunities or threats and support decision taken
• Manage short/long term inventory planning at national level by Establishing high quality volume projections including stock levels and delivery patterns to ensure finished goods inventory levels are sufficient to guarantee constant product availability for sales, on national level
• Monitor non-tobacco materials overview and consider lead times, lot sizes and internal procedures to minimize potential write-offs
• Ensure close collaboration with Logistics department on stock levels and deliveries to optimize local supply chain

• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong understanding of BI and ERP tools (Power Bi and SAP knowledge is nice to have)
• Good forecasting and analytical skills
• Good understanding of commercial business models, distribution models, and sales operations.
