We are currently recruiting a Software Engineer to join the Worldpay’s Alternative Payments Department. This position is Bucharest-based and aligned to the Worldpay University Program; a two-year scheme, suited to entry level joiners who aspire to develop a successful career with a leading payments company!

About the team
Worldpay’s Alternative Payments Department specialise in delivering an end-to-end online payments solution to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team to take it to the next level.
Operating within a collaborative Scrum environment, we aim to deliver effective solutions to the business and our customers using our evolving payment platform.

What you will be doing
You will collaborate with your cross-functional squad to design, develop, operate, and improve the Worldpay’s Alternative Payments.
You will work with the wider engineering team to bring solutions to challenges that require cross squad collaboration.
As a member of the squad, you will also have an understanding of the product and industry you are building for.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaboratively develop the features and engineering capabilities for Worldpay’s Alternative Payments
• Collaborate in all stages of development from requirement discussions to deployment
• Collaborate with your fellow engineers from other squads to make decisions around technologies, patterns, and approaches to adopt


Who we are looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or Software Engineering) or related fields
• Basic programming knowledge in C#/.NET and SQL
• Good understanding of OOP principles
• Knowledge/practical application of agile methodologies
• Willingness and ability to learn, master, and work in both new and older technologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• English Language – Fluent
• Passion for tinkering and technology; you like hackathons and innovation sprints!
