Office of Cyber Security Trainee

Minimal Qualifications:

 Final year student, or experienced professional interested in a domain change.
 Enrolled in/graduate of a Business Administration or Entrepreneurship oriented university.
 Strong English language communication skills, both written and verbal
 Critical thinking, analysis, and rationalization skills.
 Eagerness to learn with a general understanding and interest in a career in business administration or project management.
 Intellectually curious.
 No cybersecurity or technical experience are required.

The Ideal Qualifications:

 Basic understanding of project management/business analysis principles
 Baseline understanding of common cyber vulnerabilities, concepts, and disciplines
 Baseline understanding of Information Technology fields
 Proficiency with a variety of communications mediums

The Opportunity

Enterprise Cyber Security (ECS) has over twenty programs in place to identify and manage risk that enables MassMutual to improve cyber resiliency. As an intern in ECS, you will have the opportunity to align to your professional development goals through an immersive on-the-job experience in our Office of Cyber Security. As a trainee with the office of cybersecurity, you will work on our Cyber Technology & Innovation team or within the Project Management Center of Expertise; your days may include:
• Working closely with Project Managers, Program Owners, and Tech Leads
• Putting Kanban principles into practice in an Agile environment
• Support of overall portfolio of security technologies including company reviews and showcase sessions
• Project management & Business Analysis specific activities and processes.
• Evaluating new and emerging technologies in the cyber security space
• Work with early-stage companies & documentation of explorations of their technologies
• Learn and demonstrate generalist level of understanding of common cyber vulnerabilities, concepts, and disciplines
• Learn and demonstrate general understanding of venture capital and cyber startup markets

The Impact

As an ECS Office of Cyber Security trainee, you will learn how to work methodically in a detail-oriented way to support the cyber security organization. You will learn how to manage the business side of a world class cyber security organization including portfolio management, budget analysis, and talent and education management. You will also get the opportunity to work with early-stage companies in the field of cyber security as part of our security technology evaluation process.
