    We are on a mission to deliver a frictionless onboarding and learning experience to LSEG Workspace - LSEG's flagship SaaS financial platform - enabling our customers to access contextual and relevant help, driving user self-help and self-sufficiency.

    We're looking for an experienced Development Team Lead to join and lead a highly collaborative, cross-functional, agile product development team responsible for building the best-of-class, intuitive UIs focusing on customer experience, engineering excellence and time-to-market.

    The Development Team Lead will lead a team of software engineers, fulfilling the role of Scrum Master, Team Lead, Project Coordinator, and Release Manager for software delivered by the team. This is a people management role with hands-on coding responsibilities and the potential to lead more than one team in the future.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead Scum software engineering team to deliver software products.

    • Lead and empower the team, providing mentorship, coaching, and support to ensure their success.

    • Develop project timelines and ensure that deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

    • Plan and coordinate software releases, ensuring that all necessary testing and quality assurance measures are in place.

    • Act as a liaison between the software engineering team and other stakeholders, including product owners, PMO, and customers.

    • Continuously monitor and analyse team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimise team productivity and efficiency.

    • Facilitate team meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

    • Manage project risks and issues, ensuring that they are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, encouraging open communication and feedback.

    • Manage the career development of individuals, providing mentoring and coaching to help them grow professionally.

    • Work closely with the product owner and PMO to ensure on-time delivery on commitments and report on progress upstream.

    • Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies, and apply them to improve team performance.

    Qualifications

    • 10 years of experience working with web technologies, using JavaScript/Typescript and Angular.

    • At least 2 years of experience as a team lead or people manager.

    • Understanding of how web frameworks like Angular, React or Vue work under-the-hood.

    • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

    • Experience with project management tools, such as JIRA or Asana.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to empower and inspire team members.

    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

    • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

    • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS/Azure.
