Seattle

The Seattle area ranks among the top 10 places to live in the US. It’s home to not only Microsoft, but to more than 2,000 other software and digital media companies and 3.5 million people. Snow-capped peaks dominate the horizon in all directions. Shimmering blue water comes into view at practically every turn. The climate is mild. And while Seattle does have its share of cloudy and misty days, it actually gets less rain each year than Atlanta, Boston, Houston, New York, or Philadelphia.

Add to this picture a dynamic urban culture, distinctive neighborhoods, great restaurants, a family-friendly atmosphere, a world-class music, arts, and entertainment scene, and countless recreational options, and we think you’ll discover that this is truly a special place.

Located 13 miles from Seattle, the Microsoft corporate campus in Redmond, Washington, is home to most of our product development and core operations. With its own lake and offices nestled among tall evergreens, rolling lawns, and landscaped gardens, our campus is more like a park than your typical corporate headquarters.

Ours is an environment designed to help you relax and recharge throughout your day. You’ll find a baseball diamond, basketball courts, and miles of running and hiking trails, along with foosball, ping pong, and video games in many buildings. Inside our facilities, four thousand works of art from our permanent collection are on display. Excellent on-campus dining facilities, the Microsoft Museum, and the Microsoft Company Store are just a few of the many campus amenities we provide.
