    A Snapshot of Your Day

    As Global Logistics Network Manager you are responsible and will lead the implementation of Siemens Energy's´ Transportation & Logistics strategies, ensuring alignment between business requirements and SE's strategy.

    As part of a cross-disciplinary and global team you make sure that pooling, tendering, and purchasing initiatives, as well as digitalization projects are successfully implemented. This will make significant impact to the financial results of SE and help optimize organizational processes


    How You'll Make an Impact
    • Establish an interface and build strong and sustainable connections between the operational business in different regions and the headquarters.
    • Establish and maintain good communication with logistics operations to understand and document business requirements.
    • Identify new opportunities, remove barriers, and implement corporate strategies at logistics sites.
    • Analyze SE's transport network and Warehouse footprint to derive an optimized network design. Contribute to significant reduction of logistics spent worldwide.
    • Define and implement transport mode adjustments, define hub concepts and ensure preferred forwarder utilization together with additional corporate cost out initiatives.
    • Establish a Center of competence by developing and conducting trainings, tender implementation, Incoterms changes.
    • Develop global logistics strategies with internal and external stakeholders to identify, define and implement optimized transportation and logistics solutions, incl. financial controlling.
    • Identify supply chain risks, opportunities, and market forces to avoid potential damage / exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk and change management.
    • Drive actions for logistics projects to ensure synergy targets are met or exceeded.
    • Ensure tasks and actions are tracked and reported accurately for all logistics actions, and reporting systems are up to date and accurate. Lead responsibly projects and process improvement efforts with focus on analysis of quantitative data

    What You Bring
    • University degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or equivalent is preferred
    • >10 years expertise in logistics procurement/strategic development /logistics operations or Key Account management
    • Must have deep knowledge in international transportation and logistics management and strategies, preferably from working experience in the logistics industry incl, Standard transport as well as project / over dimensional transport concepts.
    • Experience in international customs clearance requirements and processes as well as and tax requirements
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
    • Ability to gather, reduce and organize data from multiple sources in multiple formats, and organize effectively from various data sources and database systems.
    • Presentation skills, ability to communicate results in a clear and concise method to support business decisions
    • Must be able to meet deadlines and defined targets
    • This role requires someone with flexibility and adaptability who is very process oriented and self-driven
    • Ability to communicate across all levels of organization and cultural environments
    • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
    • Fluent in English written and spoken, German preferrable
