A typical day might include the following:
- Performing NVH tests.
- Vehicle and test bench instrumentation.
- Calibration of measuring equipment.
- Treatment and analysis of noise and vibration requirements.
- Vibro-acoustic analysis.
- Determination of motor acyclism.
- Instrumentation box for vibration determination, use of accelerometers, angle speed transducers, and microphones.
- Determination of the real torque and of the transfer path, of the vibrations produced by the engine towards the passenger compartment.
- Instrumented elements: engine mounts, side member, driver's seat rail.
- Drilling the steering wheel and box area; checking sensors during installation.
- Installation of microphones in the passenger compartment and accelerometers on the box.
- Carrying out tests in total and partial load.
To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:
- Higher technical education, preferably road vehicles.
- Engine technical knowledge.
- Good knowledge of automotive mechanics.
- Analytical person, able to make synthesis and analysis files.
- English (writing and reading at the intermediate level), French is an advantage.
- Driver license.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office package.
