Head of Plant Industrial Engineering

Our Industrial Engineering Department in Ghimbav is looking for a new Leader to join the team!

What you will do as a Head of Plant Industrial Engineering:

• Define an appropriate organizational & operational structure and ensure the personnel resources to run the business;
• Responsible for managing the resources to transform input effort into customer required output within a efficient and effective process;
• Defines, measures and follow up on KPI targets for IE in total;
• Responsible to implement the plant strategy, business goals and budget targets in own area of responsibility;
• Align the departments strategy with the Plant/ BU / Division strategy and goals;
• Initiate, contribute or lead strategic initiatives with benefits to Plant / BU / Division performance;
• Develop strategies for optimization of operation effort / costs (e.g. Lean, SMED, waste reduction;
• Responsible for a proper budget planning: consideration of sales, costs and the required process quality level;
• Ensure optimum use of company assets (including equipment, space, competencies);
• Set up smart targets for own employees to achive the budget and monitor the status on a regular basis;
• Act as role model in displaying the company values and general constructive behavior in relation to: business, clients, work safety and environmental protection, communication and collaboration with other teams.

What you will need to succeed:

• Bachelor degree or master degree or similar, preferably in engineering;
• Professional experience (minimum 10 years);
• Experience in automotive business (minimum 5 years) and understanding of automotive enviroment;
• Cross functional experience in at least 2 different functional areas;
• Experience in leading international teams;
• English languake skills at an advanced level;
• Project management skills at an advanced level;
• Strategic and business planning experience;
• At least 5 years in a leadership position with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individuals with supervisory responsibility; with at least one intermediate level of management.
