Chief Accountant

Desirable experience:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accounting
-Relevant accounting/ tax certification (eg: CECCAR, CAFR)
-Strong capabilities with min. 5 years of experience in finance/accounting/taxation
-Strong technical knowledge of ERP and MS-Office Suite
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
-Excellent problem-solving and time management skills

Main responsibilities:

-General accounting: Management of general accounting activities for all group companies, maintaining accurate and complete financial records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and bookings. Ensures compliance with agreed accounting principles and update new legislation in the accounting system.
-Statutory & fiscal reporting: Responsible for regular statutory reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual), including generating financial reports, preparing tax forms, reporting financial results to authorities and obtaining relevant fiscal certificates. Relation with fiscal authorities (ANAF).
-Treasury management: Organizing payments and ensure payments are up to date. Management of relationship and communication with banks and insurance partners.
-Team development: Management, oversight of daily operations and enhancement of skills and capabilities for all members of the accounting team.
-Continuous improvement: Keeping up to date with updates in accounting principles and regulatory developments in order to ensure optimization of work processes and systems.
-External governance: Responsible for annual external financial audits and controls from authorities (as appropriate).
