    o University degree in Mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a similar field of study;
    o At least 2 years experience in Product engineering;
    o At least 1 year experience dealing with geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing;
    o At least 2 years of experience with CAD-based design tools;
    o Excellent understanding of the design rules for plastic, sheet metal and die cast components;
    o Knowledge about tolerance calculations, manufacturing technologies (i.e. stamping, injection, SMT) and the inter-connection of different mechanical parts (i.e. connectors);
    o Knowledge of existing design methods like FMEA, DFMA, V-Model;
    o Eager to work with the newest automotive technologies, understand complex systems and shape the behavior of the future cars;
    o Proactive and you adapt easily to new development environment, but don't worry, we will be there every step of the way, supporting each other;
    o Self-motivated and take ownership of your tasks and projects;
    o Team player and offering and receiving feedback comes naturally;
    o Not afraid to think outside the box and try to find creative approaches to your challenges;
    o English - a good level is mandatory.

    Nice to have:
    o Experience with CREO;
    o Willing to travel;
    o German - it is not mandatory, but it is an advantage.

    Job Description

    We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work within our Engineering Mechanics for Automotive Electronics department.

    In your role you will:
    o Analyze requirements (environmental conditions, installation, material, manufacturing, life-time) related to the mechanical design of an electronic control unit used in automotive and non-automotive applications;
    o Lead actively technical discussions with supplier and capability evaluation for components in own responsibility as part of the purchasing process;
    o Be in charge for design of new or change of an existing mechanical part using one of the material classes metal sheet, plastics or die-cast, by taking into account all technical and assembly requirements as well as manufacturing technologies and cost aspects;
    o Support the launch of the product in series production and after start of production;
    o Prepare all documentation related to the mechanical design as required by the engineering process;
    o Evaluate technical and commercial risk and time planning;
    o Participate in customer meetings;
    o Support the sample built in different stages of the product development;
