The Early Career Program gives you the opportunity to apply for an Internship Program or a Trainee Program starting with January 2022.

The Internship job opportunity covers a 6 months paid Program, while the Trainee job opportunity covers a 1.5 years Program, with 3 assignments of 6 months each, rotating across some of the following departments:

- Commercial: Working closely with the brand teams to support product launch and bring AbbVie products to market.
- Market Access and External Affairs: Contribute to connecting patients to AbbVie’s life-changing medicines. Drive engagement with all relevant stakeholders through internal and external communication.
- Medical Affairs: Drive medical communication to Healthcare Professionals, related to the new product indications: working with internal and external stakeholders to identify the scientific unmet need and optimize the content and channels of communication.
- Customer Excellence: Develop understanding of the competitive landscape, navigate dynamics of the market and establish a deep understanding of the drivers of AbbVie’s performance.
- Finance: Supporting with audit responsibilities and ongoing transparency reporting, ensuring compliance and due diligence is fulfilled.
- Allergan Aesthetics: Working with brand and digital managers to impactfully differentiate premium Aesthetics brands in the aesthetics market. Collaborating with Allergan Medical Institute (AMI) team to better understand customer educational needs and to innovate on how we upskill our customers.
- Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety - Working across teams of highly skilled scientists and healthcare professionals to experience the different activities that enable the effective monitoring of the safety profile of our products, including intake and assessment of individual adverse events, as well as the aggregate review of safety data that supports informed decision making on their evolving benefit-risk profile.

My name is Isabela Stoica, and I am a graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” from Bucharest, Romania.
Being able to take part in AbbVie Romania’s first internship project was a unique and unforgettable experience. My journey with AbbVie started in April 2021, when I became part of the Market Access team.

Despite the learning curve in the beginning, this new position went on to become a very constructive step towards my future professional destination, helping me gain both professional and social skills, while giving me the perfect space to showcase my abilities. I was able to witness how pharmaceutical companies work and learn more about the behind the scenes of how an innovative product comes to life.

A highlight of my internship period was having such a supportive network of colleagues who not only guided me to achieve my personal goals, but also served as a driving force to step out of my comfort zone and try out new ventures that come my way.

I am very thankful for the doors that this exciting experience has opened for me and for having the chance to meet some of the most motivated and passionate people I know.

My name is David Moran, and I am a graduate in Business Administration from the University Carlos III of Madrid, Spain. I started my career in Abbott Spain, the company from where AbbVie spun off in 2013, as an intern, 15 years ago.

Today, I am the Finance Director of AbbVie Romania, following an international career path. My journey started in Accounting, shortly moving into Financial Planning and Analysis in the Spanish Affiliate. Afterwards, I took my first international assignment, in the Western Europe & Canada Headquarters Office in France, where I held various positions in Finance, working with 19 countries. After several years, I moved to the Company Headquarters Office in Chicago, US, to lead a Company-wide Financial Project, travelling all around the world. One year and a half ago, I moved to Bulgaria as Finance Director and since June 2021, I am in my current role.

AbbVie offered me great learning experiences over my career, but specially in early stage, where the Company supported me on expanding my education, putting in practice my learnings from my studies, and giving me the opportunity to add value to the organization.
Throughout my career, from the beginning until today, I have experienced how a large Corporation performs in the marketplace, from strategy to tactics, with a clear purpose and making a very remarkable impact to the society.
Along my journey, I had the opportunity to increase my knowledge in all aspects, meeting amazing people from whom I got tremendous learnings that grew my business acumen and enhanced my capabilities on the professional arena.
