Located in Cluj, in the heart of Transylvania, BMW TechWorks Romania serves as the new European IT hub of BMW, established through a strategic joint venture between BMW Group and NTT DATA Romania. This innovative hub is dedicated to developing advanced software solutions across various domains, including human resources, production, development, sales, and BMW Group Financial Services. The longstanding and robust partnership between BMW Group and NTT DATA Romania highlights the strong potential and promise of this new venture. Poised to become the driving force behind BMW’s technological advancements, BMW TechWorks Romania is set to harness the power of digital innovation to revolutionize the automotive industry.

Our focus on cutting-edge software development will pave the way for smarter, more efficient, and more connected automotive solutions.

The joint venture launches with an initial team of 120 highly skilled software developers and aims to expand this talent pool to approximately 250 developers by the end of 2024. With ambitious growth plans, we aspire to reach a four-figure workforce by 2027, continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence in the automotive IT sector.
