Brillo Validation Engineer

- Technical degree in Computer science, Electronics or related
- Understanding of Computer Architecture
- Linux Kernel and Android OS Internals Knowledge is desired
- Good understanding of Linux commands. Must feel comfortable using the Linux terminal
- Good analytical skills (data processing, interpretation and data projections)
- Good QA tools and methodology knowledge - bug and feature tracking, test case management, reporting, follow-up
- Result orientation, with a good degree of accountability, commitment and responsibility
- Automation skills (Python, shell scripting)
- Experience with version control systems (git/gerrit)
- Good English communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
- Experience with IoT is considered an advantage
- Open-source experience (Tizen, Yocto, Android or similar) would be a plus
- ISTQB or similar certifications are nice to have

- Create and execute test plans for Brillo components (e.g. Audio, WiFi, bootloader)
- Provide accurate effort estimations and input in project planning
- Continuously increase testing coverage by means of automation
- Run and debug existing automated scripts
- Provide timely and quality results and reports
- Work with teams spanned across multiple geos (US, EMEA and Eastern Asia)
