What you will do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a purpose greater than daily tasks: making energy safer, more sustainable, and closer to people.

We create the context for you to grow, being responsible for:

Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning models.

o Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of data across platforms.

o Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, translating business requirements into scalable and efficient data solutions.

o Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between engineering and business teams.

o Implement efficient data processing solutions, ensuring high performance and scalability.

o Optimize data storage, retrieval, and ETL processes to ensure data availability and integrity.

o Lead the design and development of cloud-based data solutions.

o Maintain version control and collaborate using GitLab to manage code and deployment pipelines.

o Develop and optimize SQL queries and integrate data from a variety of sources into central repositories (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses).

o Automate and streamline data pipeline processes with shell scripting and other relevant tools.

o Provide mentorship to junior data engineers, guiding them through technical challenges and helping them grow in their roles.

o Lead code reviews and ensure best practices are followed across the engineering team.

Collaborate with data scientists / ML Engineers to ensure seamless integration of ML models into production environments.

o Collaborate with data analysts to confirm data validity.

o Implement best practices for model versioning, monitoring, and continuous deployment.

What will help you succeed:

o Bachelor degree in STEM subjects (or working towards it).

o At least 1 year experience

o Experience in Data related roles or experience in data domain.

o Experience in SQL, including complex queries.

o Experience with Python for data engineering tasks, including building custom data processing solutions and automation.

o Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for orchestration of data flows.

o Experience in using GitLab/GitHub for version control and CI/CD processes.

o Experience Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.

o Experience in Shell scripting (e.g. Bash).

o Experience in Cloud Provider.
