Commercial Project Manager

A Snapshot of Your Day

This role is critical to ensuring professional commercial project execution, financial transparency, and risk mitigation for key international energy projects, specifically focusing on the GCO scope. To address these business aims, the role provides end-to-end commercial and financial management throughout the project lifecycle. This encompasses initial costing and bid preparation, project financial controlling, contract and claim management, and commercial risk optimization to ensure execution remains within budget and compliant with accounting standards, given the complexity of the expected project portfolio.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, asset management, and monthly reporting.
• Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure profitability targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy financial guidelines, IFRS, and local accounting standards.
• Provide commercial support and financial planning for the GCO scope during initial costing and bid preparation phases.
• Develop commercial project plans, including cash flow planning, tax concepts, and currency hedging strategies.
• Collaborate with bid management and sales teams to ensure commercially viable proposals.
• Analyze and manage commercial terms of customer and supplier contracts to identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate commercial claims, change orders, and contract amendments.
• Maintain the project risk and opportunity register, quantifying potential financial impacts and implementing mitigation measures.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial project management, project controlling, or cost estimation, preferably within the energy, engineering, or construction sectors
• Proven experience working with international stakeholders and projects, especially within European markets

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
