Requirements

Grant Thornton Romania is looking for a Security Engineer to join our IT department in Bucharest.

We are looking for a skilled Security Engineer with expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Systems administration. This role involves securing IT infrastructure, managing server environments, responding to security incidents, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and protecting systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in cybersecurity, network security, systems administration, and cloud security.


Requirements:

- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or IT infrastructure management.

- Strong experience with Windows Server administration and Microsoft 365 environments.

- Hands-on experience with Azure/Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, and Purview.

- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 E3/E5 security, compliance, identity, and endpoint management capabilities.

- Experience with AD, IAM, MFA, Conditional Access, and role-based access control.

- Good understanding of network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.

- Familiarity with vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, and cybersecurity standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, NIS).

- Good knowledge of English

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

- Administer and maintain Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.

- Manage identity and access controls, including AD, Entra ID, MFA, and privileged access.

- Operate and maintain cybersecurity solutions such as firewalls, SIEM, EDR, and security monitoring tools.

- Manage vulnerability remediation, system hardening, patching, and security incident response.

- Monitor infrastructure performance, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.

- Implement security controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and cybersecurity standards.

- Support IT risk management activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the security posture.

- Respect the Firm’s standards and guidelines
