Transformer Welder Specialist

At Siemens Energy, our Grid Technologies Service team supports customers worldwide in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading critical power infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Transformer Field Services Welder to join our growing international service organization.

In this role, you will perform specialized welding activities on power transformers and associated equipment at customer sites across Europe and internationally. This position offers extensive travel opportunities and the chance to contribute to some of the world's most critical energy infrastructure projects.

• Perform welding activities on power transformers and associated equipment.
• Execute transformer tank repairs, radiator welding, pipe welding, and stainless steel welding.
• Carry out on-site repair welding and oil leak rectification activities.
• Prepare work areas, welding equipment, and materials prior to welding operations.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy quality standards, environmental requirements, and EHS regulations.
• Complete inspection records, quality documentation, and service reports accurately and on time. Collaborate closely with international field service teams, site managers, and customer representatives to ensure successful project execution.

• Minimum 3 years of professional welding experience.
• Proven experience in industrial welding applications within heavy industry, power generation, substations, transformer manufacturing, oil & gas, pressure vessels, or similar sectors.
• Ability to work independently and professionally at customer sites.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel extensively on international assignments.

Valid welding certifications such as:

ISO 9606-1

ASME Section IX

Other internationally recognized welding qualifications

Previous experience working in a field service environment at customer sites.

Additional certifications such as:

SCC/VCA

Working at Heights

IPAF/MEWP

Confined Space Entry
