What you will do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a purpose greater than daily tasks: making energy safer, more sustainable, and closer to people.

We create the context for you to grow, being responsible for:

Backend development and maintenance for PPC digital platforms, as part of the eMobility Division's development team, with ownership of the Romanian and neighbouring component of the digital roadmap:

o Design, development and optimisation of REST APIs and backend services for the EV charging applications (mobile app, partner portal, back-office).

o Data modelling and administration in MySQL: tables, migrations, indexes, query optimisation; work with ORM (Doctrine and/or Eloquent).

o Implementation of asynchronous processing - queues and background jobs (Symfony Messenger, Laravel Queues), scheduled tasks and handling of inbound webhooks from third-party systems.

o Integration of the platforms with external and group systems (roaming hubs, payments - Stripe, SAP, Salesforce, Epsilon), including OAuth2 / OIDC / SSO authentication.

o Writing unit and feature tests (PHPUnit and/or Pest), participation in code review and upholding code quality (PHPStan, coding standards, technical documentation).

o Delivery in containerised environments (Docker) through CI/CD pipelines; support for deployments and investigation of production incidents.

o Compliance with the group-level architecture, security and data governance standards defined for the shared eMSP / FmP stack.

o Level 3 support for incidents escalated by Control Room and the Caring Center on the digital platforms.

o Contribution to effort estimation, requirement refinement and technical documentation of solutions (API specifications, flow diagrams).

o Collaboration with the Partnership Growth, Engineering Hub and Integrated Operations departments to translate business needs into functional requirements.

o Monitoring of application performance and proposal of optimisations (queries, indexing, caching, cloud resource consumption).

o Participation in security and Audit reviews and in ensuring GDPR compliance across user data flows.

o Knowledge transfer to colleagues in the local team and in the global teams (technical onboarding, documentation, internal sessions).

We want you to join our journey with:

o Completed higher education (bachelor's degree) in Computer Science, Automation and Computers, Cybernetics, Mathematics-Informatics or equivalent technical fields.

o Candidates without an IT degree are also accepted, provided they demonstrate equivalent relevant professional experience (minimum 4 years in PHP backend development) and a verifiable technical portfolio.

o Certifications in cloud technologies (Google Cloud) or in PHP frameworks are an advantage.

o Minimum 4 years of professional experience in PHP backend development.

o Minimum 2 years of production experience with Symfony and/or Laravel, on applications with real users.

o Demonstrable experience in designing and consuming REST APIs and in integrating with third-party systems.

o Experience working in teams that apply code review, automated testing and delivery through CI/CD.

o Advantage: experience with high-transaction-volume platforms, payment systems, device telemetry or e-mobility protocols (OCPP, OCPI).

o Advantage: experience working in an international / distributed team.

o Autonomy in execution and end-to-end ownership of deliverables.

o Clear technical communication in English, written and verbal, in distributed and multicultural teams.

o Ability to collaborate in an Agile environment with colleagues across several countries and time zones.

o Analytical thinking and a structured approach to identifying and solving problems.

o Quality orientation and attention to detail (code, tests, documentation).

o Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-moving domain (e-mobility).

o Discipline in meeting deadlines and transparency in reporting status and risks.

o Openness to feedback and constructive contribution in code review.
