Digital Services Business Partner for Grid Solutions and Substations

This role is part of the Digital Services Business Partnering team created to support the extended responsibilities and growing IT demands of the Grid Technologies Solutions and Substations business units. The position will focus on two primary areas: acting as a strategic liaison to translate business needs into actionable IT projects, and managing the end-to-end delivery and implementation of these technical solutions. This involves a blend of business analysis, project management, and technical consulting, as well as delivery of AI initiatives, bridging business priorities and strategy with cutting-edge technology.

The role acts as a Strategic Digital Partner to the business and proactively shapes, owns and governs the digitalization agenda and roadmap for the assigned business units. It is expected to challenge and qualify demands based on business value, strategic fit, architecture, standardization, feasibility and capacity and to steer a transparent, prioritized portfolio toward measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be a Senior Professional with advanced experience in IT project management, business systems analysis, and managing relationships with business units. A strong technical background is necessary to effectively guide the implementation of new or integrated information systems. The candidate will ensure projects move seamlessly from concept to deployment, will leverage high expertise in Artificial Intelligence and project management to drive innovation, optimize processes, and deliver strategic IT solutions that align with business objectives.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects for Grid Solutions and Substations business units, from initiation and planning through to deployment and closure.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget by managing resources, risks, and change requests.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals and challenges and identify opportunities where AI and IT solutions can add value.
• Own Technical Governance: Oversee architecture reviews, cybersecurity, compliance, and requirements engineering.
• Shape and govern the digital roadmap and portfolio for the assigned business units, ensuring transparency of initiatives, dependencies, investments, milestones, risks and expected value.
• Demand intake, prioritization and investment proposals, recommending the most suitable approach across process improvement, standard solutions, data, automation and AI in alignment with GT strategy, architecture and available delivery capacity.
• Act as the primary IT liaison for Grid Solutions and Substations business stakeholders, building strong working relationships.
• Work with user groups to elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements for new or enhanced IT systems.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for development and implementation teams.
• Conduct systems process analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend technology-driven process improvements.
• Analyze existing systems and business processes to recommend viable technical solutions for integration or enhancement.
• Provide technical guidance to business users during system implementation, user acceptance testing, and post-go-live phases.
• Collaborate with technical teams to study, design, and re-engineer systems that align with business objectives and IT strategy.
• Enhance Change Management: Develop and implement effective change management strategies, ensuring smooth adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization, and providing necessary training and support.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Significant experience as an IT Business Partner, IT Consultant, or Business Systems Analyst, typically requiring 5+ years in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience managing IT projects and cross-functional teams in a complex corporate environment, with a strong focus on AI solution delivery and technical project leadership.
• Effective project and process management capabilities, including leading cross???functional teams, managing complex technical projects, project planning, Agile methodologies, change management, workflow management, and process improvement to drive successful project delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous business improvement.
• Business and stakeholder management capabilities, including stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, requirements elicitation, customer relationship management, and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization to support successful project delivery and business outcomes.
• Technical knowledge and problem???solving capabilities, including a solid understanding of AI applications and their impact on business processes, AI architecture, cybersecurity and compliance, the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), application development, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and troubleshooting to support the design, delivery, and governance of innovative technology solutions.
• Strong language skills, including fluency in English, with German considered an advantage.
