Business System Analyst- Payments Domain

A business requirement rarely arrives simple. It comes with ambiguity, systems that need to talk to each other, technical constraints, and a deadline that isn't up for negotiation. Your role is to take all of that and turn it into something a development team can actually build without guesswork: a clear, testable, well-documented specification.

At Raiffeisen Bank, you do this inside an Agile setup, working alongside solution architects, developers, testers, and Product Owners -- never in isolation, but as part of a team that has your back when things get complicated. You work with SQL, JIRA, Confluence, dig into logs in ELK, understand API/MQ/batch integration flows, and move just as naturally between Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Plus, you're encouraged to use AI tools to work faster and sharper -- not to replace analytical thinking, but to support it. ?

• Analyze business requirements and turn them into complete functional and non-functional specifications, using RBRo methodology

• Write clear user stories/use cases that the development team can build on without ambiguity

• Collaborate with solution architects to define the optimal technical approach for each requirement

• Assess the functional and performance impact of changes on existing and connected systems

• Support the creation of test scenarios (ST/SIT/UAT) and validate the test plan together with the test analyst

• Provide technical support and clarifications throughout development, including during post-implementation stabilization

• Keep specification documentation up to date, reflecting every approved change

• Mentor junior analysts on complex issues, helping raise the team's overall expertise

• Experience working on software development projects, ideally in the financial/banking sector

• Solid knowledge of business requirements analysis and documentation methodologies

• Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Office, UML, Query tools, PowerPoint)

• Intermediate SQL level (T-SQL, PL/SQL, DB2 SQL, or equivalent)

• Solid understanding of SDLC and both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

• Experience with JIRA and Confluence

• Knowledge of API, MQ, and batch integrations, plus API security protocols

• Specific expertise in Payments, including domestic and cross-border payments, local currency and FX payments, instant payments, direct debit, treasury payment flows, SWIFT MT, and ISO 20022 XML

• Practical understanding of clearing and settlement processes, payment routing, returns, rejects, recalls, cancellations, payment investigations, and payments-specific reconciliation

• Experience in Payments transformation projects -- payment hubs, enterprise payment platforms, payment orchestration, payment migration, platform modernization, ISO 20022 adoption/migration, and legacy-to-target transformations

• Data modeling knowledge (PlantUML, Draw.io) -- nice to have

• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) -- a plus

• University degree, minimum 2 years of relevant experience

• English -- intermediate-advanced level

• Structured thinking, strong synthesis skills, analytical mindset, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams
