Graduate Trainee - VAT

A Snapshot of Your Day

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across three key areas: supporting VAT compliance and reporting activities, working with tax-related data and reconciliations, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with experienced tax professionals, develop practical knowledge of indirect tax processes, and gain exposure to an international business environment.

It is an excellent opportunity for a master's student or recent graduate interested in tax, accounting, or finance.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Support the preparation and review of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat declarations for various entities.
• Assist with the timely submission of indirect tax filings and gain exposure to VAT compliance requirements across different countries.
• Help prepare documentation and gather information for internal reviews and external tax audits.
• Support the reconciliation of VAT accounts and review transactional data from ERP systems to help identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Create and maintain reports and analyses that support the tax team's compliance and reporting activities, while responding to VAT-related questions from internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement and digitalization initiatives, including supporting the testing of system updates that impact tax processes.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or currently pursuing) in Fnance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-op roles in a finance or accounting environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles and/or tax concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic Excel knowledge (formulas, pivot tables)
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
