Business experience: You have solid operational experience in Store Operations, or in closely related business functions in a country. You know the main principles and processes of store activities, the interdependencies with other functions, and understand the main levers and critical success factors.
Project management: You know how to apply project management methodologies. You are confident managing projects across multiple functions and countries. You are used to working with tight deadlines, react promptly do upcoming issues
Analytical skills and IT know-how: You have an affinity with IT solutions, and are familiar with modern Agile software development concepts, especially OKR and Scrum methodologies. Ideally, you have yourself some coding experience or worked e.g. with complex databases. You are analytically strong, able to grasp complex topics. You are able to translate often confusing and complex as is business problems into simple and structured to be process descriptions.
Communication skills: You actively engage with multiple stakeholders in the product team, in countries and in the center. You have great listening skills. You have the know-how and the seniority to be accepted by users as a competent counterpart. At the same time, you are able get acceptance for our solutions. You are confident when talking to senior managers. You are resilient, you overcome initial resistance to change.
Deployment coordination: Actively drives the deployment roadmap for our standard solutions. Has a “deliver on time" and in the "budget” mentality. Ensures communication and alignment with other functions and solutions, engages with stakeholders at Metro Digital and in other countries. Responsible for planning and managing deployment & training resources. Supports countries with project management during the implementation. Helps to create transparency and monitors the implementation process in all aspects. Pro-actively manages operational or financial project risks and impediments escalate if required.
Technical implementation: Coordinates the initial functional and technical analysis as well as the technical solution deployments including, user acceptance tests, technical links with other solutions. Aligns and coordinates necessary system customizing; but engages with countries to follow the standard, wherever possible. Acts as an interface for the internal and external providers/ partners in international teams.
Business process implementation: Helps to manage change in countries, adapting local processes and solutions to the standard. Develops concepts for user training and eLearning, together with Product Owners, lead countries and the METRO training. Conducts on-site and off-site user training. Actively manages, monitors and improves solution & process know-how by users. Together with Product Owners, ensures that 1st and 2nd level user support is effectively organized. Acts as the first point of contact for countries for our solutions.
Continuous improvement: Creates an active user community. Ensures best practice sharing between countries. Supports the Product Owner with ongoing Agile development. Helps to collect, align and prioritize requirements from countries. Together with the Product Owners supports the OKR process. Helps countries to establish comprehensive KPI tracking. Monitors the business impact of the solutions. Identifies pain points and opportunities to further improve Offer Management processes and solutions.
Technical expertise: You are familiar with electronic shelves labelling technologies and have a proficient understanding of existing interdependencies within a store infrastructure.
