Goodyear GBS is launching its new Global IT Center in Bucharest



Goodyear, one of the world’s largest tire companies and a leading global brand, is launching Information Technology (IT) center in Bucharest, Romania. For more than ten years, Bucharest has been a strategic Global Business Services (GBS) center for Goodyear, providing services in the areas of finance, procurement, customer service, supply chain and internal control. The launch of the IT center will support Goodyear operations around the world.

Goodyear’s GBS IT Center team in Bucharest will work in collaboration with global IT hubs in Akron, USA; Luxembourg; Singapore; Hanau, Germany; San Paolo, Brazil and Manila, Philippines to provide efficient and effective IT services.

The launch in Bucharest will enhance worldwide IT service delivery for the company and provide new job openings for IT professionals in Romania. Potential employees working as SAP technical and functional consultants, process analysts and support specialists will join a global SAP Center of Excellence team.

Further, developers in the Bucharest center will collaborate with experienced tire engineers, data scientists and algorithm specialists. They will be developing tools and solutions leveraging modern technologies and work on exciting global tire research and development projects like “beyond tire” and “intelligent tire;” racing applications for NASCAR race teams; and applications related to tire development and tire testing.
