A Snapshot of Your Day

To support the growth of the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) Application Tools team within Siemens Energy's Grid Technologies division, this role is established to deliver state-of-the-art software solutions that streamline product configuration and pricing processes. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining innovative software solutions that optimize product configuration and pricing processes. There are three key areas: agile software development and implementation, quality assurance and long-term code sustainability, and local customer support and coordination for the Berlin (Germany) and Wuxi (China) manufacturing sites. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong software engineering background, hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (particularly Scrum), and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact for regional teams.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Agile Software Development & Implementation
  • Implement factory specific requirements based on the priorities defined by Product Management and Product Owner
  • Implement software requirements defined by the Product Owner using state-of-the-art technologies and clean code principles.
  • Refine use cases and user stories to estimate effort, define work packages, and discuss technical content within the agile team.
  • Participate actively in scrum and SAFe ceremonies
• Quality Assurance & Code Sustainability
  • Ensure the long-term quality, maintainability, and sustainability of the codebase through regular code reviews and refactoring.
  • Design, execute, and document tests for newly implemented functions and features to guarantee they meet strict quality standards.
  • Document your implementations and factory specific solutions
• Customer Support & Local Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as the primary local contact in Romania for customers, interfacing directly between stakeholders and the core development team.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers for developed CPQ implementations.
  • Develop and assist local implementations specifically tailored for BLN and WUX application environments.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of professional software development experience, ideally within an agile framework and a DevOps environment.
• Expertise in software development and architecture, including object???oriented programming (OOP), clean code principles, software architecture and design patterns, and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) application development to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high???quality software solutions. Business???fluent English is required, German is considered an advantage, and a willingness to travel is expected.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative delivery practices, including Agile software development frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, sprint planning, and effort estimation to support efficient teamwork, continuous improvement, and the successful delivery of high???quality software solutions.
• Expertise in quality assurance and testing practices, including unit testing, test???driven development (TDD), code quality tools, and static code analysis to ensure the delivery of reliable, maintainable, and high???quality software solutions.
• Effective stakeholder management and support capabilities, including technical support and troubleshooting, cross???functional communication, and user alignment to ensure seamless collaboration, timely issue resolution, and the successful delivery of business and technology solutions.
