Software & License Clearing Specialist

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Third-Party Software Expert you guide and support our engineering teams during software procurement and license clearing. You are analyzing contracts and licenses conditions and document risks and obligation for the project team. You support the selection process of Third-Party software components, guide procurement during the contract negotiation and drive legal clarifications if required. You work in a multinational environment and have the opportunity to become a member of our expert network.

How you'll make an Impact

• Analyze license terms and conditions of commercial and Open Source software used in our software projects
• Ensure license compliance by tracking rights, restriction and obligation resulting from Third-Party software incorporated into our products and solutions
• Support our procurement in negotiation of contracts and license conditions with software vendors
• Advise software projects in selection and integration of Third-Party Software in our products and solutions.
• Mentor software projects in the area of software licenses and Third-Party Software

What You Bring

• A Bachelor or Master's in Computer Science or similar
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a software developer
• Profound knowledge of Open Source Software licenses and commercial software contracts
• You have first work experience in projects business and know software development processes and methodologies
• You are interested in legal topics like license law and contract law
• You are a digital native and like to use tools and systems to increase working efficiency
• Ability to support multiple projects at the same time and prioritize tasks and responsibilities based on the business needs
• Strong communication skills ensure a successful collaboration in our international organization
