Internship Program IBM - Bucharest Location

IBM Client Innovation Center Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) was established in 2012 by joining several centers in Europe. The Delivery Center is part of a global network of 80 similar centers and uses the best IBM methods of work, global processes and techniques. The center has achieved CMMI Level 5 (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and its mission is to provide customers with software solution customized to their global business needs.

Requirements

- Faculty graduate (Computer Science, Mathematics, Cybernetics or similar) or Master’s student
- minimal experience in software development projects during the studies (OOP languages);
- experience with at least one programming language (C, Java, .NET, PHP etc.)
- experience with relational database;
- abilities to read / write code;
- awareness of the software development life cycle;
- basic debugging skills;
- involvement in NGOs or other extra-curricular activities highly appreciated;
- advanced English language skills
- advanced French or German language skills

Responsibilities

This is an intern position and all applicants must be fresh graduates or enrolled in a Master’s Program. Candidate will be working with multiple contacts within the business, needs to be a self-starter and team player.
Systems and strong communication / interpersonal skills, basic business knowledge and strong analytical skills are required.

Candidates should be available to start on November 19th 2012.

Activities during the internship:
- training regarding IBM as a corporation and IBM Romania - departments & activities;
- soft skills training for certain abilities - communication, team work, planning& organizing, presentation
skills;
- common session regarding hardware, software and services and workshops depending on the professional interest of the interns;
- project tasks in frame of a development project on which interns will need to work together and share information and knowledge with the team members.

- After 3 months of internship all the suitable candidates will be offered the option of a full time position in IBM.
