Network Engineer

Connect44 was founded in the heart of Switzerland. Our goal was to support Telecom Operators and Equipment Manufacturers to design, manage and Optimise Mobile Networks. Starting with some of the first 2G voice networks, we began to grow our team of professionals to equip ourselves for new projects with new technologies and new ways of working. Investing substantial amounts of our budget on training, we started to move into 3G then 4G. Soon came the changes to IP networks, VOIP and preparing networks for large amounts of data by modernisation of old analogue networks to the digital standards. Over the past years Connect44 has steadily developed key longterm partnerships with its clients in many European countries with offices in Switzerland, UK, Germany, France, Romania and Chile.

Currently pursuing Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Electrical /Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent;
Knowledge of mobile network architecture and transport design in telecommunications;
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues;
CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent) certification is a plus;
Knowledge of networking protocols (Layer 2/Layer 3, static/dynamic IP routing protocols, MPLS);
Know the DCN differences for the different interfaces LAN ports, E1 services;
Knowledge of SIAE, HUAWEI and Ericsson Microwave equipment;
Knowledge of the network provisioning tool Comarch is a plus;
Highly technical and result-oriented approach;
Highly organized and systemic work approach;
Ability to work under high pressure;
A previous experience in mobile transport network design would be preferable;
Hands on experience on router and switches (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia etc.) would be desirable;
Strong professional English language skills.

Understanding DCN planning solutions;
Applying new DCN configuration on routers and Microwave equipment;
SIAE, HUAWEI and Ericsson Microwave equipment troubleshooting;
SDH service troubleshooting;
Working with Remedy, Netsite, Comarch, Xakta, Operator tools(LCT, Minilink, WebLct, etc.), LinkVis, Mapinfo, APT.
