What does an Account Manager in Hilti?

Hilti Account Managers plan their own schedule for visiting customers within their sales territory. The daily tour in the Hilti car takes them directly to professionals on the construction site as well as to the offices of purchasers and company owners. Hilti Account Managers are competent partners whether in a project’s planning stage, when submitting an offer or for project consulting.

Hilti Account Managers feel at home on all constructions sites. They have a detailed knowledge of the customer’s needs and serve as contact partners on-site. They enthuse construction professionals every day by demonstrating the latest Hilti products and services, carrying out training for complex applications and through their thorough professional competence.

At Hilti, sales team members aren’t alone, as they can always count on the support of their team leaders and colleagues.

Our “Talent Quest Program” is designed to bring onboard - ambitious fresh university graduates who are passionate for sales, marketing and who have an entrepreneurial way of thinking. The aim is to develop future Hilti Leaders who could bring our Company to the next level.

Our Talent Quest Program, which started in 2010, generated already some results since 2012 onwards. For example, six colleagues, recruited through Talent Quest, who joined Hilti Romania as Account Managers are, starting from 2013 onwards, in different roles in various teams of Marketing and Sales Departments at our Regional Headquarter based in Milano, Italy supporting the business for the whole of Italy and Adriatic Region: Vlad as CRM SAP By Design Specialist, Andrei as Sales Manager, Iulian as Technical Office Manager, Ioan as Business Developer for Fastening & Protection,  Vasile as Business Developer for Hilti Online and Vlad as Product Manager Measuring Systems. Their background is marketing, economics and respectively civil engineering coupled with master program in their field of studies.

New opportunities will appear for them as they will also appear for other young talented graduates who decide to join Hilti Romania.

You are curious why I chose Hilti?

I wanted a job where I can prove my abilities, my success gets measured and my own contribution matters!

I admit I had very little information about the company when I saw the ad on the job board however during the long and carefully structured recruitment process I was more and more interested in starting working in this environment.

Starting with January 2014 I am working as an Account Manager at Hilti Romania assuring all our customer needs with the help of a well-organized team. With an entrepreneurial attitude I structure my daily action plan; I meet my customers and search for new ones, succeeding to overcome any challenge having at my disposal all the resources I need to fulfill all my tasks.

What I find great about my job is the fact that every day is different, I constantly learn something new and although I am only working for nine months on the filed I am starting to see my results. This motivates me to be better and better every day towards my customers and my teammates.

For me Hilti is a big family, where your opinion matters, where you are appreciated for the input you give and helped in difficult moments. It is the perfect environment to improve as an individual and get ready for a career in sales or marketing.

"I’ve participated Hilti Talent Quest 2010 program, and right from the start I noticed the genuine interest Catalyst & Hilti took in organizing the whole process, furthermore the quality and how well prepared the fellow applicants were. Both of these aspects indicated towards the quality of people you would find at Hilti.
I’ve joined Hilti in 2011 as an account manager and right from the beginning I enjoyed the freedom of handling the sales area, meeting new people and convincing them of the higher value of our products & services. It has an entrepreneurship feeling to it, as you can organize your territory and strategy as you see fit. I’ve got support for my duties, starting from product knowledge and conducting jobsite demonstrations to selling abilities. After one year, I achieved strong sales results that allowed me to attend an intense 6 month international project, which in turn helped me make a leap forward in my personal and professional development.
Starting with 2014 I've took a new challenge as a Regional Product Manager in Milan, Italy working with people from different countries, coordinating product marketing activities and having a broader understanding of an international market.
