Java / ReactJS Junior Developer - Internship

For DevOps Services team

The candidate should have basic knowledge of programming in Java and/or ES6-JavaScript (. ReactJS) and ideally also basic knowledge of operating the linux command line (bash)

1. Basic knowledge of development tools: Maven or NPM, SVN or GIT
2. Basic knowledge of Database software: SQL or NoSQL
3. Basic knowledge of Web development (Java, JavaScript, JSP, Tomcat / ExpressJS)
4. Basic knowledge of a Linux Operating System


For B2Bi team we are looking for:

1. Basic knowledge of Java
2. Basic knowledge of databases, SQL or NoSQL
3. Knowledge of web development: HMTL/JS
4. Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS
5. Good understanding of Agile

For B2Bi team you will be working in a multicultural team, learning from software developers, business analysts, architects and quality assurance engineers how to deliver new and secure features to the product. You will have the opportunity to understand and go through the entire software development life cycle, from analysis and design, through coding and continuous integration, to packaging and delivery, while experiencing technologies like Java 8, REST API, NoSQL databases and cryptography.

For DevOps Services team you will maintain, develop, operate and apply continuous integration and deployment for web apps used throughout Axway for managing internal processes.

1. Operating virtual infrastructure
2. Employing multiple programming languages and technologies, both for backend (. using SQL and NoSQL databases, Java, ORMs, NodeJS) as well as for the frontend (. React, Angular, JSP.)
3. Using Jenkins, Maven, GitLab to perform continuous deployment to on-premise and cloud environments
4. Using cloud technologies and microservice or serverless architectures

We are looking for a candidate with a strong passion for programming who is eager to learn about Java8 and/ or ReactJS for 2 projects in Axway - B2Bi R&D team and DevOps Services team.

The internship will have a duration of 3 or 6 months, starting May 2018 with flexible working time (6 or 8 hours/day), depending on your availability. This is a paid internship with extension possibility.
