SQL Database Administrator

•1 - 4 years’ experience with MS SQL Server (2008-2017).
•Working with large databases (1TB+) is considered an advantage.
•Experience with data extraction and transformation, loading process from source systems or files into a database.
•Understanding or coding into any scripting language (php, perl, powershell, and bash) will be helpful.
•Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Strong communication skills required.
•A desire to exceed project, client and co-worker expectations, to always keep up with latest technologies.
•Ability to perform under stressful conditions with short deadlines, sometimes after working hours.
•Good understanding of TSQL language.
•Basic understanding of networking protocols (IPv4, DNS) and network topologies.
•Basic knowledge of IIS7 or IIS8 setup (create & configure sites and modules).

•Responsible for all functions associated with the design, implementation and maintenance of SQL Server databases including security, back-up, and logging, reporting and recovery procedures.
•Manage all technical aspects of the databases and processes.
•Manage data from multiple sources including internal, external, and 3rd party data.
•Assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency.
•Perform daily, weekly, and monthly data maintenance tasks (e.g. manual data validation and synchronization between replicated databases using TSQL scripts, adding new objects to publications, troubleshooting failed backups or corrupted databases).
•Assist in client support and setup configurations.
•Maintain support via phone and email.
•Basic configuration of windows modules (IP setup, IIS sites, SMTP setup).
•Make demo setups using latest database technologies.
•Create custom jobs for alerting administrators when different modules fail or data gets desynchronized.
•Assist in data management processes.
•This job occasionally requires working overtime.
