The department AGN Services is responsible for the design, engineering, implementation and operations of global network and network security services in the scope of the Allianz Global Network (AGN) as well as the global data centers of Allianz group.
Together with a group of selected partner companies, the department delivers stable an reliable services in the areas of networking, network security, voice, video and web conferencing as well as call center.
The Senior IT Engineer (Network) as part of the Network unit cares for the design, the implementation, the operations and the availability of global network and network security solutions, Internet, Partner and Remote Access as well as other security services that Allianz Technology maintains for entities of Allianz group.
o University degree in computer engineering or information technology or solid, long-term hands-on experience in IT and Network and Network Security
o Excellent proficiency and professional skills of technologies, products, hard- and software of Network and Network security, such as Router, Switches, Firewalls, Proxies, VPN, Remote Access, IDS/IPS, Content Inspection, in particular from vendors Check Point, Cisco, Blue Coat, HP Tipping Point, EMC/RSA, Juniper/Pulse and Citrix.
o Certification for Check Point, Cisco, Citrix and Blue Coat desired
o Quality of Service ( QoS ) knowledge desired
o Overlay Network Technologies, e.g. VXLAN experience desired
o Network Cloud technologies experience desired
o Solid understanding of Software defined networking desired
o Understanding of Architecture Governance
o Strong customer orientation and project management experience
o Wide knowledge and proficiency in networking technologies, e.g. Switching, Routing, Voice/Video as well as Load Balancing
o Considerable practical skills and experience in development and documentation of concepts, designs and technical solution papers, high proficiency in working with Microsoft Visio
o Acceptance of unsocial working times, readiness for on-call service and able to handle high work peaks
o Entrepreneurial and strategic orientation, assertiveness, ability to work independently, initiative, ownership and responsibility
o Driving change and innovation, result orientation, reliability, even under pressure
o Ability to work in a team, fostering relationships, customer focused, adaptability in dynamic, changing environments
o Fluent in spoken and written English language
o Solid presentation, consulting and moderation skills
o Involvement in and support of the Allianz IT Transformation (AIT) programs and assistance of Allianz Technology and Allianz customers and clients during service delivery
o ensuring the operational stability and service quality of these services in the context of effective design and assurance of designs created by Allianz SMEs and third parties
o technical co-operation with and control of the Allianz-partners (integrators) in the network (architecture), data centre and security field, escalation management to customers and partners as well as with other Allianz Technology units (e.g. Security Operations Center - SOC)
o participation in and support of the Allianz IT Transformation programs and consulting for Allianz Technology and Allianz customers of these services
o Continuous improvement and enhancement of existing technical solutions and deployment and maintenance of appropriate management, administration, monitoring, automation, logging, reporting, backup and recovery systems
o Documentation of all deliverables, solutions, systems, infrastructure, processes and procedures as well as development and composition of new concepts, architectures and solutions
o Ensure the operational stability and service quality of the required solutions, also by means of on call services and flexible working hours.
o Involvement into incident, problem and crisis management and support of change and service requests
o Guidance of the operations and support teams in India and other globally distributed Allianz Technology locations as well as 3rd level support of products and solutions in close collaboration with the hardware and software vendors
o Market observation of all relevant technologies and products in the network security area
o Team working with network and network security engineers and administrators of other Allianz Technology and Allianz entities and subsidiaries
