About us

Ubisoft Bucharest has been an important pillar for the local gaming industry since, being the first Ubisoft production studio outside France. It has a strong history of contributing to iconic AAA franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Watch Dogs and Just Dance, and has helped develop a total of over 60 games. Today, the studio is the 2 nd largest Ubisoft studio worldwide and continues to tackle the biggest challenges in gaming and technology, contributing to the creation of new and amazing games.

Requirements:

• Diploma of College Studies in scriptwriting, literature, filmmaking or video games is a plus;
• Experience in the video game industry is a plus;
• Good understanding of video games;
• Ability to collaborate and respond to feedback in a mature and timely manner;
• Organizational skills;
• Creativity.

Responsibilities:

The main and routine tasks of the narrative designer are to:

• Create descriptions and backstories for characters, locations, objects, events;
• In collaboration with the Level Design team, define the flow of events in a mission, in complete detail; define the emotions targeted in each situation; elaborate on all elements that enhance the quality of the experience, including dialogues, timing of events, props etc.
• Support the Game Design team in defining systems and structures to support the game experience throughout the entire game, not just during story-driven moments;
• Describe narrative situations, create documents defining their content and their role in the course of the game.
