Senior Disaster Recovery Coordinator

Required Experience:

At least 7 years of relevant IT experience, with 5 years focused on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.

Leadership skills.

Diploma or Bachelors in Computer Science or related area of study. (Preferred)

Ability to quickly and accurately determine root cause of performance and stress bottlenecks.

Strong negotiating/influencing skills.

Provide knowledge transfer to other members of the team.

Proficient with up to date DR strategies and methodologies.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Able to build consensus, using team dynamics to achieve positive outcomes.

Experience working with global delivery teams.

Experience in delivering global DR solutions.

Experience in organizing Disaster Recovery tests and maintaining documentation.

Experience in preparing client communication, reports, diagrams and presentations.

Improving and updating existing DR plans and scenarios as part of the annual maintenance cycle.

Experience in capacity planning and supporting the technical teams in delivering DR build-outs and solutions.

Experience with Resilience One software or similar BCM tools.

Goal oriented and action focused.

Maintaining a list of DR gaps and drive closure to meet the internal SLA, RTO and RPO.

Proven ability to deliver in a fast paced, complex technical environment.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Maintain collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical (internal and external) stakeholders to confirm and potentially approve project requirements and solutions to achieve quality end user experience. Maintain a repository for future releases and updates to existing documents.(15% of time)

Meet utilization targets, and streamline systems and procedures that are cost-effective and improve efficiency. Manage scope and changes on a project. Take accountability for estimates and timelines established for the project assignment. Prepare weekly timesheets and report expenses in accordance with FINASTRA policies. (10% of time)

Seek process optimization by demonstrating an appreciation of end-user needs, challenges and priorities. Assist in driving the implementation of more efficient and effective processes.(10% of time)

Facilitate workshops in gathering and defining requirements through to implementation of solutions. Transfer knowledge to the Operations and Production support teams. Remain current on industry trends and best practices to enhance product knowledge. Supports client during training, testing, migration and deployment period. Maintain effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. (70% of time)

Understand and manage within regulatory requirements and FINASTRA Risk Register(5 % of time).
