Senior Student Counselor

StudyPortals is the biggest educational search platform globally - and we are looking to expand our team! Our challenge is to build, adapt, and create the biggest education search platform, bringing absolute transparency and reliability to international higher education. By understanding the student journey in and out, we’re building a platform that is valuable to students and agile to the demands of international education.

3-4 years of experience as a student counselor
Experience with different markets (Europe, USA, Asia, etc.)
Capable of understanding multi-disciplinary domains
Good knowledge of Higher Education worldwide
Good communication skills; fluent verbal and written English is a must
Good interpersonal skills, and extremely customer-centric; you will need to communicate verbally with students on a daily basis
Goal-oriented, able to work at a fast pace with good stress management skills
Strong logical and business sense; you'll be a pioneer in optimising counselling & the student recruitment funnel!
Willing to do several weeks of extensive training in The Netherlands before moving to our Romanian office
Ability to lead a team; you will be responsible for creating, developing and managing a team by the end of the year

As a Student Counselor, your primary focus will be guiding and supporting students through the process of application - including clarifying possible doubts that arise during the application process, validating required documentation and processing the student applications . You will be in a pioneering position, setting the stage for what we hope will be a team of multiple counselors. As the first full-time counselor there will be lots of personal growth opportunities and chances to coach other counselors. We aim high. The sky is the limit!
