•Bachelor's degree in engineering or in Business administration;
•Minimum 4 years’ experience within Purchasing in an industrial environment, preferably automotive industry;
•Program purchasing experience in automotive industry;
•Experience including an international assignment would be an advantage;
•Knowledge of APQP and program management in automotive;
•Strong analytical capabilities;
•Knowledge of supplier cost structure;
•Fluent in English;
•Good written and oral presentation;
•Good planning and organization skills;
•Ensures the supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel: identifies and consults suppliers, manages the supplier RFQ based on the panel given by the Commodity Buyers;
•Manages the supplier negotiation with support from the Commodity Buyer and ensures the final choice of supplier (leads sourcing committee process to select suppliers from list provided by commodity buyers);
•Directs the performance follow-up during the program phase: manages suppliers,
compares the costs with the objectives, ensures the quality during the program phase, respects the delivery deadlines and in particular ensures that the program phase reviews are supported within the framework of the company Program Management System (PMS);
•Ensures the early involvement of the Series Buyers in the program before the series phase;
•Manages the specific mandated suppliers when requested and agreed with the customers;
•Negotiates the Engineering Change Requests.
