Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years experience in Romanian tax field within a multinational company
University degree in Accounting or Finance;
Ability to coordinate, prioritize and plan work efficiently in order to meet deadlines
Strong knowledge of the Romanian tax legislation with experience in interpreting a variety of laws in situations where only limited and general standardization exists;
Show interest in following changes to tax regulations and laws;
Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams;
Good knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, Commercial law;
Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, SAP would be an advantage);
Fluent in written and spoken English;
Responsibilities:
Ensure correct application of tax legislation, making sure that the information is in line with the company's accounting standards;
Compute company’s tax liabilities (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Taxes, etc) ensuring timely and accurate submission of the tax returns;
Support tax consultants in computation of company’s tax liabilities in other European countries ( Germany, Portugal);
Represent the company during any tax inspection;
Ensure all tax transactions are accounted for and in accordance with either the Romanian tax legislation or other European countries tax legislation;
Recommend tax strategies that comply with legislation and promote company’s financial well-being;
Monitor changes in Romanian tax legislation and ensure overall company awareness by informing and advising colleagues on actions to be taken;
Support the external consultants in preparation of transfer-pricing documentation;
Assurance of internal control compliance for the processes that is responsible for;
Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes;
