Overview / Purpose of the Role
Leading set up of Billing Operations and managing the ongoing day to day Billing Operation for Nokia WING a multi country globally deployed IoT Connectivity Enablement Service.
The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of Billing Operations delivery for Nokia WING.
- Responsible for putting in place methodology tools and processes to create customer billing for a multi-tenant global IOT Connectivity service solution;
- Ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are understood and obligations met, ensuring all required internal controls are in place;
- Leveraging Nokia Global Delivery capability and cross functional collaboration when required, establish methodology, tools and process for Customer Billing in a complex environment serving multiple customers in multi-tenant shared delivery model;
- Ensure methods for measurement and reporting of process efficiency and compliance issues are in place and provide regular reporting to stakeholders;
- Supporting other functions in the WING organization to ensure overall service quality is achieved for multiple customers.
- The Billing Operations lead will be a key player in ensuring customer of the Nokia WING service have a consistent, compelling and usable experience you will be a key player in directly influencing the attractiveness of Nokia WING as the “go to” Solution for IoT connectivity managed services.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and Introducing systems, tools, processes and methodology to provide required billing information and data to agreed SLA’s to finance teams to ensure customers are charged correctly for services used and on time;
- Implement and monitor billing production procedures;
- Responsible for ensuring correct data is provided to finance community to enable monthly invoices to be created in a timely and accurate manner;
- Identify opportunities to develop and drive solutions to enable automation and applications for self-service of Billing data & Insights;
- Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to establish the most efficient and effective end to end customer billing process;
- Align multiple customer billing needs with business case and multi-tenant delivery model. To ensure relevant data can be delivered effectively and efficiently;
- Coordinate with Operations staff and support training to members of other departments concerning billing procedures as they relate to the accurate preparation and submission of information for customer Billing;
- Investigate and resolve problems, questions, and issues as they relate to billing procedures;
- Management of the delivery of timely and accurate billing services for multiple clients;
- Maintain current documentation of best practices and processes;
- Providing feedback and targets for improvement initiatives into delivery and product development teams;
- Ensuring an extremely high customer experience standard which maintains the Nokia WING reputation for delighting customers;
- Working with Global Delivery Centers in a large, geographically distributed organization and multiple customers to standardize approach and methodologies;
- Contribute to the development of proposals, presentations and reports.
Experience Required
- Experience in the domain of Mobile Network and Connectivity Billing methodology;
- Experience of establishing new processes and tools to provide accurate billing data to various stakeholders;
- Working with finance and other departments to ensure end to end bill production and revenue collection is optimized;
- A passion for delivery of the highest quality customer and user experience;
- Ability to draw conclusions from data and develop and communicate insights needed to advise technical and business leaders;
- Experience of Customer Billing at large enterprise and Mobile Operator level
- Driven and focused, deliver a high level of performance. Analytical;
- Experience of compliance and audit requirements and putting required controls in place
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills;
- Process orientated with excellent problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across functions and influence senior leaders;
- Communication and presentation skills and experience in customer facing roles;
- Understanding of IoT industry verticals and industry applications and the types of billing requirements this drives.
Educational Requirement
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject;
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance;
- Backed by extensive industry experience in the required discipline.
