NI Engineer

Within the Nokia GSD NI department, responsible for Global Service Delivery, we are looking for a senior NI Engineer (Senior Network Implementation Engineer).

Key responsibilities

• Remote implementation of network related services including but not limited to: integration, configuration, re-homing
• Interfacing with the RITC Tool (Scheduler/Viewer) for determining service delivery requirements
• Perform and execute remotely software tools (RITC Tool Suite) on customer networks to meet deployment process. Typical tasks would include 3G/4G node swaps, integrations/health checks, software updates, support of Change Notice/Hardware updates, antenna tilting/testing, etc.
• Support in developing software scripts for task automation
• Assistance for field staff during various implementation activities, planned works and related-troubleshooting
• Support troubleshooting of field testing failures, via escalation to RITC Tier 2 engineers.
• Provide feedback to RITC S/W development team on deployment/software issues and new software release software testing
• Creating, updating and identifying solutions in order to successfully deliver all designated tasks
• Ensure accurate and timely creation, update and completion of all tickets, with prompt escalation and notification of incidents during operations as per technical instructions received from both customers and internal management
• Ensuring that telecom services are delivered within the contractual deadlines
• Propose improvements to processes
• Transfer new tasks to GSD and inside GSD, between projects

Qualifications

• Experience in Windows based products and Office productivity tools
• Excellent communication skills required
• Fundamentals and principles of telecommunication networks especially LTE
• Engineering/telecom/software experience, wireless technologies with multivendor RAN technology (Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson, ZTE, fALU) is a plus
• Ability to lead/work in team environment
• Ability to multi-task and be creative under pressure
• Ability to work non-standard shifts as the work can be 24/5 or 24/7 depending on the customer
• Must be fluent in English
